Job Overview

VitalCore Health Strategies is a leading provider of correctional healthcare services in Massachusetts. We are seeking a skilled CORRECTIONAL HEALTHCARE SPECIALIST to join our team in Norfolk, MA.

As a Correctional Healthcare Specialist, you will work with a variety of healthcare professionals and security officers to provide medical services to inmates/patients in a correctional environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a correctional setting or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.
  • Identify patient health problems and prescribe treatment under the direction of a physician.
  • Implement medical care utilizing therapeutic regimens approved by a Physician.
  • Provide education to inmate/patient, healthcare staff, and correctional staff.
  • Document all healthcare contacts.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies and participate in disaster drills.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college/university NP / PA program.
  • Must possess current licenses or certifications in the state of MA.
  • Experience in Correctional desired but not required.
