We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Livewell Animal Hospital at The Parks. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories and symptoms from clients and communicate effectively with them.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members.
- Provide nursing care, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, and proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
- Assist with surgery prep and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and other animal care tasks as needed.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $20.00-$30.00/hour based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, mental health counseling, hospital indemnity insurance, life and accident insurance, long and short-term disability insurance, and Teledoc access.
