Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Nicklaus Children's Health System. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, re-evaluation, development, and implementation of plans of care for our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and statistics.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address patient deficits and goals.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices and incorporate them into treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Florida Professional Occupational Therapist license or Provisional OT license.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Level II fingerprint background check and Good Moral Character Affidavit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Pediatric internship or experience.
  • 2 years of pediatric experience.
  • AOTA and FOTA memberships.
