Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Nicklaus Children's Health System. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, re-evaluation, development, and implementation of plans of care for our young patients.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and statistics.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address patient deficits and goals.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices and incorporate them into treatment plans.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Florida Professional Occupational Therapist license or Provisional OT license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Level II fingerprint background check and Good Moral Character Affidavit.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Pediatric internship or experience.
- 2 years of pediatric experience.
- AOTA and FOTA memberships.
This is a part-time position with benefits. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
