Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist at Nicklaus Children's Health System, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, re-evaluation, development, and implementation of plans of care for patients. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Implement and document treatment plans, ensuring accurate and timely recording of patient progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and research to provide the highest quality care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Florida Professional Occupational Therapist license or Provisional OT license required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Level II fingerprinting and Good Moral Character Affidavit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Pediatric internship experience
  • 2+ years of pediatric experience
  • AOTA and FOTA memberships
