Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Corporate Sector's Resiliency Technology team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, leveraging your expertise in creative problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering communities of practice.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced skills in one or more programming language(s), including Java.
  • Experience in developing Cloud-ready applications for AWS, Azure, or other industry-standard Cloud platforms.
  • Proficient in developing and managing web applications in Java Micro Services Architecture with Hibernate/JPA in DAL.
  • Experience in developing UI applications using Angular or React.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Cloud technology.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Ability to self-learn new technologies and work with minimal supervision.
