Role Summary:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians. This role involves coordinating patient care throughout the radiation therapy process while ensuring compliance with Access Dubuque's operational standards and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy in accordance with physician directives.
- Review and document treatment parameters and patient records accurately.
- Prepare patients for treatment by ensuring proper positioning and equipment setup.
- Assist physicians in the localization of treatment fields and document all necessary information.
- Ensure the functionality of treatment equipment and maintain safety standards.
- Advocate for patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction during treatment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
