Radiation Therapist

As a Radiation Therapist at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cancer care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician's prescription, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care. Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments, including verifying accuracy of treatment fields using portal imaging. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program and Standards of Conduct. Provide a high level of customer responsiveness and serve as a role model to encourage a commitment to customer service. Maintain an excellent working relationship within the department and with all internal and external customers. Ensure that services are provided in a manner that supports continuous quality improvement and customer-oriented focus.
Requirements
Graduate of CAHEA-approved Radiation Training Program. Iowa Permit to practice as a Radiation Therapist. Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter. 0-2 years prior experience required. Demonstrated experience and competency with Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and a variety of web-based programs and browsers. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Work Environment
Our Radiation Oncology department is a fast-paced environment that requires strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and productively, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks accurately and in a timely manner. The ability to maintain a high level of mental concentration and work in a setting with frequent interruptions is essential. Occasional travel to other worksites and training seminars may be required.
