Position Overview

As an integral part of our veterinary team, the Animal Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians. This position is essential for ensuring the well-being of pets, clients, and fellow team members while maintaining high standards of veterinary care.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred candidates will possess a certificate from a NAVTA-accredited veterinary assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is also preferred.

Daily Responsibilities

The Animal Care Technician is committed to delivering professional, efficient, and exceptional service, ensuring that both clients and pets feel at ease within the facility. Daily tasks will include:

  • Facilitating the patient flow within the hospital
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
  • Executing or preparing procedures that do not necessitate direct veterinarian or technician involvement
  • Upholding hospital standards to ensure the safety of pets and maintaining cleanliness in treatment areas, examination rooms, and laboratories
  • Informing clients about our wellness plans and the significance of preventive care
  • Guiding and mentoring fellow team members
