Candidate Profile

Responsibilities

As a Primary Education Instructor, your daily responsibilities will include:

- Delivering lessons utilizing a variety of culturally responsive teaching methods to support all students in achieving their academic and social-emotional goals
- Preparing and internalizing the shared curriculum while developing engaging unit and lesson plans
- Administering assessments, grading, and analyzing data to inform instruction
- Maintaining organized records of student information
- Implementing the Responsive Classroom approach to create a positive classroom culture
- Promoting restorative practices to help students build relationships and address conflicts
- Collaborating with colleagues across various content areas and grade levels
- Participating in professional learning communities, grade-level meetings, and professional development sessions
- Conducting parent-teacher conferences and maintaining ongoing communication with families
- Ensuring student safety at all times
- Assisting with non-instructional supervision of students
- Attending field trips and engaging in identity work to challenge systemic inequities

Compensation and Benefits

Explore Schools offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Our salary structure is designed with equity in mind, based on relevant experience, education, and certification. Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree and 0-10 years of experience can expect an annual base salary ranging from $62,710 to $84,000, while those with a Master’s degree can expect a range of $67,486 to $93,636.
