Job Summary:

International Marine and Industrial Applicators, LLC is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing routine physical labor, moving materials, tools, and equipment, and assisting in the preparation and painting of marine surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine physical work under close supervision, following oral and written instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
  • Move materials and/or tools and equipment manually or with dolly, hand truck, cart, or forklift.
  • Muck tanks, pull hoses, and remove grit with vacuum hoses or by bucket.
  • Clean equipment, vehicles, machinery, and work areas using water and other cleaning agents, vacuums, hoses, brushes, cloths, or other cleaning equipment.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pneumatic tools, electric tools, and hand tools.

Requirements:

  • On-the-job training is provided.
  • Must be able to cooperate and work well with other employees and shipyard personnel.
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisors or more experienced workers.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to walk; frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl at various heights and in confined spaces.
  • Occasionally required to sit; required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to feel, grip, or handle.
  • Regularly required to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
