Position Overview:

This role is based in our Seattle, WA office and focuses on traditional labor law, with occasional responsibilities related to California workplace regulations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Management Labor Relations, including:
  • Addressing unfair labor practice claims at the National Labor Relations Board ("NLRB")
  • Conducting research and drafting on management labor relations matters;
  • Representing management during NLRB elections;
  • Providing legal counsel to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements;
  • Negotiating and advising on collective bargaining agreements;
  • Handling grievance and arbitration processes;
  • Securing mass picketing injunctions;
  • Offering legal guidance on protected concerted activities and other issues under the National Labor Relations Act ("NLRA");
  • Delivering management training on labor relations; and
  • Advising management during union work stoppages.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA Accredited Law School
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Traditional Labor Law, specifically in labor relations
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar
  • Familiarity with current enforcement techniques from state and federal agencies
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Willingness to travel for business as required

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for this position in Washington is between $153,500 and $185,000, with eligibility for annual bonuses. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other legal factors.
