Job Title: Utilities Technician

This role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining various plant equipment, including air compressors, chillers, fire tube boilers, clarifiers, fire suppression systems, RO systems, and HVAC-related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow directives for daily tasks and long-term projects.
  • Use mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude to repair utilities equipment.
  • Address underlying root causes of equipment defects to restore functionality.
  • Document and track work, labor, and parts usage through the CMMS system.
  • Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional authorities regarding reporting and operating requirements for site utility systems.
  • Adhere to and assist operators, technicians, management, and engineering in following utility equipment PM schedules and critical maintenance.
  • Interpret and follow basic, intermediate, and complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and overhauls of utility equipment sub-components.

Work Environment:

The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high-traffic, heavy machinery area.
