Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respite Support Professional to join our team at Anchor Behavioral Solutions. As a Respite Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their community or residence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to clients in their own home or outside their primary residence while their primary caregivers engage in activities they find relaxing, entertaining, or restful.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, toileting, changing diapers, feeding, bathing, etc., which may require lifting and transferring in/out of a wheelchair.
  • Prepare meals and snacks as provided by the client's family.
  • Engage clients in adaptive games and activities that offer a stimulation and enjoyable experience.
  • Follow individual plans of care to meet client objectives and motivate clients to try new activities.
  • Assist in developing weekly activity schedules and community-based activities based on client preferences, needs, and respite service plans.
  • Work flexible hours depending on family needs and document daily client observations and issues in the client's system.
Requirements
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
