As a key member of our School-Based Health Center, you will provide high-quality primary care to students, working collaboratively with a physician to deliver comprehensive health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver primary health care to students, including assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling
  • Collaborate with a physician to provide comprehensive health services
  • Float between multiple School-Based Health Center sites, providing coverage as needed
  • Lead the site team, ensuring compliance with DOH standards and maintaining a high level of quality care
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements, maintaining certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited university
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification via National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners, or the American Nursing Association
  • Current license to practice professional nursing and as a nurse practitioner in the State of New York
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents, families, professionals, and other personnel from diverse backgrounds
