The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to children and families, and will be able to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide care to a selected group of patients in collaboration with physicians.
- Carry out the plan of care for his/her patient panel.
- Contribute to the actualization of the philosophy and objectives of the specific Division/ Department.
- Participate in performance improvement and research activities and maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise.
Requirements:
- New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration to practice in New York State as an RN/ NP.
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner specialty certification and registration.
- Masters or post Masters Certificate in specialty as a nurse practitioner preferred; or a combination of education and experience that is acceptable to N.Y. State Education Department and the Director of Nursing and/or Chairman of the Department, or Division Director.
- National certification in nurse practitioner specialty (i.e.: ANCC, AACP or NAPNAP) preferred.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
