Job Overview

Allen Marine Inc is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead the company's accounting functions and drive growth through effective management of financial systems and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Functions: Establish and maintain compliance with accounting policies (GAAP), develop and implement financial controls, prepare and monitor the annual budgeting process, and ensure proper regulatory reporting requirements are met.
  • Treasure Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, assist with banking relationships, and monitor debt covenants.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis to corporate departments as needed to support their respective functions.
  • Information Systems: Oversee and manage the Sage Intacct accounting system, continue work of integrating ancillary systems, and liaise with other departments on implementation of software systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • Eight or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CA
  • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and communication to all guests, coworkers, and vendors
  • Dedicated commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cost/buildup accounting
  • Experience in tourism is preferred
  • Broad technical knowledge of Accounting functions & processes
