Position Summary
D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing financial information into valuable management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the divisional business planning process, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and analytical review.
- Compile departmental budgets into GMA/GPA format.
- Monitor project profitability throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Provide management with profitability analyses and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Identify and assess problem areas, recommending and implementing alternative solutions.
- Offer accounting support while managing special projects.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and analysis of financial results.
- Prepare various reports and analyses as required by Corporate.
- Deliver financial guidance to management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The role may involve direct management of two or more employees within the Accounting Department, adhering to the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Evaluating performance and addressing complaints.
- Implementing disciplinary actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Four to seven years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Proficiency in MS Office and email applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
