Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Metrea Management LLC. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in the development of our state-of-the-art military communications and signals intelligence products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage scalable processes, project schedules, and task tracking systems.
  • Assist in the development of engineering design and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency in methodologies and processes.
  • Support the design, development, and management of small teams of mixed engineering disciplines.
  • Develop and implement effective, efficient, and scalable technologies and processes.
  • Support the development of engineering frameworks and models, and acquire and implement systems, capabilities, and methodologies.
  • Develop an overall technical solution that covers the entire product management lifecycle.
  • Identify areas of growth in Metrea's knowledge, skillsets, and attitudes, and develop a systematic approach to professional development and talent acquisition.
  • Identify RF software, hardware, and infrastructure requirements to support Metrea and create a roadmap framework.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer.
  • Experience with circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Experience with RF or Antenna design.
  • Experience with high-speed data interfaces: 100GbE, PCIe Gen4, Thunderbolt / USB 4.0.
  • Experience with digital signal processing or communication theory.
  • Good command of the English language; oral and written.
  • Ideal Security Clearance or ability to apply for one.
  • Experience within the aerospace, defense, security and/or government contracting and logistics across several programs and/or projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Moderate experience in capturing customer requirements and assisting in the development of statements of work (SOW), plans of action and milestones, and customer interactions.
  • Basic understanding of the policies, processes, priorities, and organization of the US Government in general, and the Department of Defense in particular, around national security matters.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cultures, regions and industries, and experience in working in diverse international environments.
  • Highly developed sense of judgement and maturity.
  • Intellectually curious, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new environments and pick up new subjects quickly.
  • Ability to obtain and filter information and identify key issues relevant to the achievement of long-term strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Strong organizational skills, discipline, with a high sense of reliability, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in, and leverage a highly collaborative, matrixed environment to achieve project ends.
  • Ability to prioritize judiciously and blend flexibility with disciplined execution, to manage competing demands.
  • Capacity to balance strategic vs. operational mind-sets and results vs. process orientation.
Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office and laboratory setting. This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.
