Job Summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal RF Systems Engineer to join our diverse team of experts in creating innovative solutions for complex problems. As a key member of our Threat and Cyber Systems Division, you will work on a wide range of projects, including foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and various ranges for verification and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform systems requirements evaluation, functional studies, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and promote innovative approaches, solutions, and architecture development.
  • Collaborate with customers through in-process reviews, customer visits, and demonstrations.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement test procedures and test platforms for a wide variety of hardware systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering (or related technical discipline) from an ABET accredited institute and seventeen (17+) years of relevant work history.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of radar architecture, receiver/exciters, and RF devices across the frequency spectrum of C, S, X, Ku, and Ka-bands.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare systems for Attack, Protect, and Support and application of systems in a dense RF environment.
  • Ability to partner with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, and integrator team members to bring solution options and drive decisions on the way ahead to meet customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work with open air range integration, ground support equipment, and RF test equipment.
  • Develop use case definitions, capability roadmaps, and overarching guidance.
  • Develop and maintain Architecture Definition, Documentation, and Planning.
  • Familiarity with software development, integration, and test, as well as requirements development and verification.
