Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests, coordinating and interpreting test results, and consulting with physicians to make recommendations on hearing disorders.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems and research relating to hearing and attendant disorders.
  • Physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear.
  • Conduct procedures such as ear cleaning evaluation, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids, cochlear implant assessment, programming, and rehabilitation, and electrophysiologic evaluation of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
Secondary Functions:

This position is for the new Antioch Hearing Aid Center that will open in December 2024.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
  • Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • If dispensing hearing aids, a Dispensing Audiologist license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
