Audiologist Job Summary

As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic audiological tests, interpreting test results, and making recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians. Your expertise will help individuals with auditory problems and their families navigate the complexities of hearing and attendant disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
  • Physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear, including ear cleaning, evaluation, and fitting of hearing aids.
  • Assess and program cochlear implants, and provide electrophysiologic evaluation of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers on the etiology and management of the disorder.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data, such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
Secondary Functions:

This position is part of the new Antioch Hearing Aid Center, which will open in the near future. As an Audiologist, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional hearing care services to our patients.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
  • Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • If dispensing hearing aids, a Dispensing Audiologist license is required.
