Basic Qualifications:Experience:
Minimum of one year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a relevant training program within the last year. Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with required clinical experience; or equivalent experience in a licensed acute care facility within three years of graduation.
- Alternatively, currently enrolled in an accredited entry-level MSN program with completed pre-licensure requirements.
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
- Demonstrated understanding of the RN scope of practice.
- Commitment to service orientation for members, staff, and providers.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Compliance with position specifications as outlined in relevant agreements.
- Current ACLS certification may be necessary for certain units. Completion of specific competencies may be required within the initial months of employment.
- Completion of AWHONN Labor & Delivery course is preferred.
