Job Overview

About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacist I will be responsible for filling drug orders, monitoring patient drug therapies, and providing drug information with a focus on efficiency and compassion. The ideal candidate will have experience in compounding pharmaceuticals, ensuring appropriate drug therapies, and providing clinical consultations to healthcare practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filling drug orders and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitoring patient drug therapies for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Providing clinical consultations to healthcare practitioners and patients.
  • Supervising pharmacy support personnel and verifying their daily activities.
  • Ambulatory care Pharmacist: Providing ambulatory pharmaceutical care services utilizing approved protocols and/or collaborative agreement with other providers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy registration in the State of practice.
  • Must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date.
  • BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

This position is located at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital, a full-service, 94-private bed facility in New Braunfels, Texas.
