Job Summary

Clinical Pharmacist I at Christus Health is a critical role that requires exceptional expertise in patient care and pharmaceutical management. As a Clinical Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing clinical consultations to healthcare practitioners, and supervising pharmacy support personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fills drug orders, monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information with a focus on efficiency and compassion.
  • Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products accurately.
  • Provides services efficiently and in a timely fashion, maintaining current pharmacist license and CE records.
  • Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel, verifying daily activities and competencies.
  • Ambulatory care pharmacist: Provides pharmaceutical care services, managing patient drug therapy, anticoagulation management, and preparing medications.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy registration in the State of practice, with licensure within 60 days of start date.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $115,000 to $145,000 per year, depending on experience.
