Job Title: Senior Survey Office Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Survey Office Technician to join our team at HirefinderRPO. As a key member of our Survey Department, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day performance of various land surveying and mapping projects across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Survey Department in developing technical documents and mapping products to meet client and management expectations.
  • Support the development of workflows involved in land surveying and GIS, including record research, Civil3D mapping, and Trimble Business Center post-processing of GPS data.
  • Collaborate with field surveyors and office technicians to complete project tasks, which may include producing legal land description exhibits and various other land survey products.
  • Work independently alongside a California Licensed Surveyor on various types of survey projects, including boundary surveys, topographical surveys, and right of way surveys.
  • Manage and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established by management.
  • Participate in Survey user group meetings and project kick-off meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in survey, engineering, or a closely related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience working on land survey projects, including property boundary surveys.
  • Land-Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) certification is preferred.
  • Advanced and experienced user of AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center (TBC), and other common mapping and survey processing software packages.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office to produce and edit professional documents.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Regional travel may be required.
