Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage and contribute to the production of various types of surveying related to infrastructure and land development projects, including boundary surveys, topographical surveys, right of way surveys, and more.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide QA/QC on assigned survey deliverables and calculations, and provide ideas and suggestions to the team aimed at improving the effectiveness of their role.
  • Client Management: Develop and recommend a sound approach or application to meet the needs of the client, and ensure that project deliverables satisfy project requirements.
  • Business Development: Prepare and/or review proposals, price quotes, subcontractor expenses, budgets, and invoices, and participate in corporate initiatives to meet the company's goals for sales, profitability, quality, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and/or 6 years of survey experience is required, and a minimum of 5 years as a Geospatial Project Manager is preferred.
  • Professional Licenses: Must be a California Professional Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS).
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge working with Trimble field equipment and Trimble office software, comprehensive understanding of the California Land Tenure system and boundary adjustments, and working knowledge of production processes in AutoCAD Civil3D and Trimble Business Center (TBC).
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, oral and written communication skills, planning, team work, decision making, judgment, and problem solving.
