The Senior Land Surveyor will oversee assigned survey projects, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables. This role requires strong project management skills, as well as expertise in surveying and geospatial technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and contribute to production of various surveying projects, including boundary surveys, topographical surveys, and infrastructure projects.
- Assess project requirements and develop effective solutions to meet client needs.
- Prepare and review proposals, budgets, and invoices.
- Supervise and provide QA/QC on assigned survey deliverables and calculations.
- Participate in corporate initiatives to meet company goals for sales, profitability, quality, and safety.
- California Professional Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS) certification.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 6 years of survey experience.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Geospatial Project Manager.
- Project experience in public utilities and transportation industry preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Trimble field equipment and Trimble office software.
- Comprehensive understanding of the California Land Tenure system and boundary adjustments.
- Working knowledge of production processes in AutoCAD Civil3D and Trimble Business Center (TBC).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. Frequently/continuously reading and watching personal computer monitors. Frequently/continuously utilizing a computer keyboard and input device such as a mouse or trackball. Regional travel could be required. Position requires a dedicated home office and workstation with high-speed internet to accommodate remote work and collaborative virtual meetings.
