Senior Medical Dosimetrist Job Description

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where healthcare professionals can thrive and make a meaningful impact. Our Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a medical dosimetrist to join our team of medical physicists and dosimetrists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement radiation treatment plans using advanced techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to support treatment simulation, quality control, and participate in departmental quality initiatives and process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with current radiotherapy treatment techniques and technologies.
  • Provide treatment planning and dose-calculation services for patient treatment and diagnosis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Certification by the American Board of Medical Dosimetry or CMD eligible.
  • 3 years of full-time dosimetry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, cobalt teletherapy units, simulators, osimetric equipment, brachytherapy equipment, computerized treatment planning systems, and record and verification/patient information management systems.
  • Proficient in external beam and brachytherapy treatment planning.
  • Ability to perform and analyze in-vivo and in-phantom measurements.
