KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide clients with insights into current malware threats and recommend effective countermeasures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. When significant malware threats arise, collaborate with various segments of the security team to devise suitable solutions. A passion for technology and a quick learning curve regarding new security solutions are essential.
  • Identify prevalent behavioral patterns associated with malware.
  • Gather Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) through forensic analysis, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) monitoring, and research on previously reported IOCs.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with other Cyber Network Defense Service Providers (CNDSPs) and Intelligence Community (IC) agencies regarding malicious activities and share emerging Cyber Threat Intelligence.
  • Contribute to the formulation of IOCs for active defensive measures and passive detection protocols.
  • Available shifts include Day or Swing shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience will be evaluated.
  • DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT III (CASP, CISSP, CISA, etc.) and DoD Approved Baseline 8570 CSSP Analyst (CEH, CySA, GCIH, etc.) certifications are mandatory prior to employment.
  • GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) or equivalent certification is required within the first 120 days of employment.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficiency in malware reverse engineering and familiarity with contemporary tools and operational requirements.
  • Capability to identify software and hardware vulnerabilities, along with the ability to analyze and reverse engineer systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members as well as work independently.
  • Basic understanding of standard network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring emerging threats through Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and their relation to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools, disassemblers, linkers, and loaders.
  • Understanding of domain masquerading, certificates, and file hashing.
  • Strong written communication skills are essential for accurate documentation and reporting of malware findings.

COMPENSATION:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $176,446 - $218,500, contingent upon experience, geographic location, and potential contractual requirements.

WORK SCHEDULE:

40 hours per week.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Less than 10% travel may be required.

TELECOMMUTING OPTIONS:

This position is on-site.
