About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CST Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. John Owasso. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
  • Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supply to surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
