We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. John Owasso. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer, or Tech credentied from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
