Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Effectively planning, managing, and executing projects within budget and on schedule while nurturing existing client relationships and pursuing new project opportunities.
2. Preparing accurate project proposals and ensuring feasibility of project scope and estimates.
Duties Include:
- Serving as the Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager, overseeing assigned projects from inception to completion.
- Preparing comprehensive proposals and reports for various project sizes.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of project work while adhering to quality standards.
- Leading design and construction meetings.
- Designing power and lighting distribution systems for commercial facilities.
- Developing overall power distribution systems and fire alarm systems.
- Conducting calculations to support system designs.
- Performing construction administration tasks, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and attending related meetings.
- Conducting site visits for field evaluations and observations.
- Assisting in marketing and business development efforts in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
- Undertaking additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record of successfully completing projects with strong planning and delivery skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A team-oriented, hands-on approach with a focus on client satisfaction.
- The capability to influence senior leadership and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Skills in developing and promoting business relationships through client engagement.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Competence in Bluebeam and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Project Management Certification is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of recent experience in Electrical Engineering design within an architectural or MEP firm.
- LEED accreditation is highly desirable.
- Advanced project management skills, including the ability to manage work to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in maintaining successful client relationships.
- Advanced planning and organizational skills, capable of leading multi-discipline project teams.
