About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Fleet Solutions team at Curtiss-Wright. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of software and/or hardware engineering activities, including analysis, design, and test. You will participate on project teams and provide technical guidance to ensure specific project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conduct, and lead research, development, and/or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Participate on project teams and provide technical guidance to ensure specific project requirements are met.
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor various aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing, fabrication, and product verification methods.
  • Research, design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes, tools, and/or jigs for a high mix / low volume manufacturing facility.
  • Provide product and process training support to both internal and external personnel of technical and non-technical trades.
  • Research, analyze, design, and develop product design and modernization proposals, specifications, manuals, and similar content for application feasibility.
  • Maintain configuration management of products and process using current PDM, MRP, and or ERP systems.
  • Monitor and manage assigned project schedules, tasks, and deliverables to ensure timely and budgeted completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline such as, but not limited to: Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and/or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in one of more of the following: product, process, and/or system design, development, and product life cycle management.
  • Experience using common industry CAD tools such as, but not limited to: Solidworks, AutoCAD.
  • Experience using common industry PDM / PLM tools.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and the interrelationships of such systems with upstream design and development processes and downstream production processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-task coordination skills.
  • Ability to understand and execute work under emergent and strict scheduling deadlines.
  • Knowledge of MS office tools/programs.
  • Experience in Ship Repair and/or Technical Service Industry.
  • Experience using Oracle ERP system.
  • Knowledge of high volume / high reliability pump and compressor systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as: NAVSEA, OSHA, and MIL.
