Position Summary:
The EHS Program Manager will spearhead the development and execution of high-performance Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives for our client accounts.

This role will provide essential guidance and support to site management, program leaders, and personnel across various facilities while overseeing a team of EHS professionals to ensure adherence to compliance standards, including the formulation, organization, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and programs.

The EHS Program Manager must possess a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, along with the Critical Performance Indicators (CPI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) pertinent to client expectations in this domain.

The primary goal is to empower employees at each site to safeguard personnel and property, mitigate risks, foster public trust, and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement thorough EHS programs and initiatives that align with regulatory standards and encourage employee engagement and accountability. Examples include contractor safety, hazardous energy isolation, chemical management, and emergency protocols.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage hazardous conditions that could result in injury or property damage by employing safety standards, best practices, and analytical methods.
  • Communicate effectively with client directors and JLL leadership.
  • Develop and deliver training in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Provide oversight and alignment on specific topics relevant to account employees.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports located at remote sites.
  • Ensure that EHS incidents, injuries, near misses, and other occurrences are documented in corporate systems, with data analyzed, managed, and reported.
  • Gather data and generate reports as necessary to support the client's compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct and lead EHS audits across various sites.
  • Engage in incident investigations, root-cause analyses, recordkeeping, and follow-up actions, making recommendations for preventive measures based on investigation outcomes.
  • Monitor recordkeeping and reporting performance concerning risk-related requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure that appropriate site-specific and business-specific programs are implemented, documented, and standardized to effectively meet CPI/KPI and legal obligations.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS compliance and management systems, preferably within facility operations. Experience in distribution, warehousing, or maintenance operations is highly advantageous.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management or a related field as it pertains to facility management.
A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, fundamentals of safety education, industrial safety, risk management, and the application of data automation to safety functions is highly desirable.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to facilities management (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, etc.) is essential.

Possess a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels and across various organizations, achieving results through others without direct authority.

Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient in basic computer applications and software, including MS Office programs and Outlook.
