Quality Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team at First Quality in Macon, GA. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform audits in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter test data and inspection data into computer software
  • Follow hold procedures for products not acceptable for shipment
  • Complete paperwork as required
Work Environment:

You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will need to be able to:

  • Walk and stand for a 12-hour period
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50lb
  • Keep your work area clean and orderly
  • Learn a lot of new information in a short period of time
  • Ask lots of questions and take initiative to learn more
  • Be an active and productive member of the Quality Assurance team
  • Communicate problems to leaders and production personnel, as required
  • Perform basic math, such as calculated area and perimeter of a square, converting percent to decimal, and converting decimal to percent
  • Work a shift that requires nights and every other weekend
Requirements:
  • Be 18 years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to work a 12-hour night shift
