POSITION SUMMARY: The Procurement Specialist is tasked with sourcing and negotiating costs and delivery timelines for materials, supplies, and services associated with goods that have standard pricing, negotiated discounts, or custom pricing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exemplifies, recruits, and mentors team members in alignment with Core Values.
  • Promotes a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Sets pricing based on established guidelines from customers and vendors, along with feedback from the sales team.
  • Creates and maintains item records, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the business system, including descriptions, sources, manufacturers, customer part numbers, inventory types, and other relevant information.
  • Identifies the most effective solutions to issues, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.
  • Trains and oversees the workload of junior Sourcing Representatives.
  • Evaluates and recommends new supply sources and assesses the suitability of materials provided.
  • Facilitates project implementation to achieve organizational goals.
  • Continuously seeks to enhance operational processes.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains accurate data records.
  • Ensures a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to ISO processes and procedures in all tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of external factors affecting commodities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • In-depth knowledge of cutting tools and abrasives.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment in a collaborative environment while maintaining a positive, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects with high accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a related role is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • No certifications required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to communicate in English, stand, walk, sit, and handle objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to use a computer and other equipment.
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to focus clearly.

PPE REQUIRED:

  • Wrist rest for keyboard and mouse pad.
