Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary

This role is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and appropriate manner, adhering to safety and organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process.
  • Maintain accurate records of blood sample collection and patient information.
  • Assist with supply inventory and ordering as needed.
  • Provide education and training to new employees on phlebotomy procedures.
  • Comply with all infection control guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization.
  • CPR Certification (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer).
  • State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA, and LA).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years experience in phlebotomy.
  • Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills.
  • Bilingual.
  • EPIC Experience.
