About the Role

AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a dedicated Medical Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive patient care and support services.

As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for presenting a friendly and helpful face to members seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment in our Wellness Clinics. You will provide courteous, confidential, and professional support to members within wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting medical histories and managing tests/screenings
  • Addressing sexual health complaints and facilitating patient registration and appointment management
  • Electronic chart creation and data documentation, including referrals and reports
Requirements

We are looking for a proficient Spanish speaker with a valid phlebotomy license or medical assistant certificate. Experience in venipuncture and sample collection, including blood and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory analysis, is necessary.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. A passion for advocacy and commitment to excellence in patient care, patient retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability are essential qualities for this role.
