Job Summary

Prisma Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our echocardiography lab, you will perform high-quality echocardiography exams, provide exceptional patient care, and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of echocardiography exams, including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow Doppler imaging, as well as assist with qualified physicians with TEE procedures.
  • Utilize independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, ensuring high-quality exams that meet IAC-approved scanning protocols.
  • Rotate to multiple lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC, participating in the daily workflow and ensuring timely patient care.
  • Operate all lab testing equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and Structured Reporting and PACS.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from a formal radiology or Sonography program.
  • 1 year of echo sonography experience performing non-invasive cardiac ultrasound studies. Clinical rotations during a formal educational program may be considered as experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (word processing).
