Key Responsibilities:

  • Review menus to ascertain the types and quantities of meats, vegetables, starches, and desserts required.
  • Prepare and serve meals for the midnight cafeteria service.
  • Cook breakfast for both the cafeteria and patient breakfast tray line.
  • Serve breakfast on the patient tray line.
  • Prepare desserts for both cafeteria and patient needs.
  • Assess stocking requirements for patient floor supplies.
  • Coordinate cooking schedules with the supervisor to ensure timely meal readiness, including discussions on modified diets and leftover usage.
  • Skillfully wash, trim, cook, and season food items for each meal.
  • Adhere to sanitary and safe infection control standards.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

****Eligible for Night and Weekend Shift Differential*****

Shift Information:

Hours: 8 hours/week, 16 hours per pay period

Shift: Every other weekend, 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • Prior culinary experience is essential.
  • Excellent attendance record is mandatory.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in hospital or institutional cooking is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dietary practices in the medical field is advantageous.
  • ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification is desired.
