About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Inventory Records Specialist to join our team at 1-800-Flowers Family of Brands. As an Inventory Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory records, ensuring that our products are properly counted and tracked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routinely cycle count inventory by following Warehouse Management System (WMS) tasks.
  • Use RF gun/scanner to input data into WMS.
  • Accurately count and verify Handling Unit (HU) quantities and batches.
  • Search and Rescue lost product.
  • Assist in product rotation and retrieval for consolidation to minimize storage needs.
  • Work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Be aware of surroundings for possible safety hazards and alert co-workers and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment and be available after hours if required.
  • Must be able to work in all storage environments including cold and freezer temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk distances 200 yards or more.
  • Ability to walk or stand for an entire shift (8 to 10 hours).
  • Must be comfortable regularly using forklift, reach lift, and/or stock picker at all tiers which may include significant heights.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6-12 months experience using inventory scanning Radio Frequency (RF) equipment preferable.
  • Forklift, reach lift, and/or stock picker experience required.
  • Basic counting and math skills required (able to count accurately as well as add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
  • Basic clerical skills required (reading, writing, basic typing and spelling).
