Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Supervisor to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, ensuring the highest quality care to patients and colleagues, and producing high-quality exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff in the diagnostic imaging department
  • Ensure the highest quality care to patients and colleagues
  • Produce high-quality exams
  • Monitor adherence to diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services
  • Supervise clinical operations, including human resource management, fiscal and clinical operations, quality improvement, and customer relations
  • Mentor and supervise staff who report to you
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff
  • Provide coaching, counseling, training, and evaluating employees
  • Utilize technical expertise to aid in determining needs, allocating resources, and resolving problems related to clinical staffing, space, equipment, and supplies
  • Supervise day-to-day patient flow for designated imaging modalities
  • Ensure efficient use of resources to optimize the use of scanners and for working requests into the outpatient schedule
  • Responsible for patient flow while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Oversee routine equipment maintenance, quality assurance tests, and report unscheduled downtime to the director
  • Assist in departmental quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with Arkansas State Department of Health, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rules and regulations, and ACR
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma
  • 4 years of experience in a related field
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health, RTL Required for Radiology and CT only - RTL Required for Radiology and CT only
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, Computed Tomography (CT) Certification (CT) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), MRI Specialist - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
