We are in search of a Lead Software Solutions Consultant to become a vital member of our Customer Success Public Sector team. In this capacity, you will engage with clients post-sales to create software solutions utilizing the Appian platform. These applications are instrumental in facilitating digital transformation and fostering competitive advantages. Your main duty will involve steering projects and participating throughout the entire project lifecycle to define, design, develop, and deploy tailored software solutions using Appian's low-code platform for our commercial clientele. This entails collaborating in an agile setting to comprehend our clients' business workflows and technical requirements, launching new relational data models into production, developing APIs for integration with various systems, and guiding and mentoring consultants through rapid software implementations. Additionally, you will work alongside clients' technical teams and business stakeholders as necessary throughout the software development lifecycle, empowering clients to independently build process applications.

Key Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for mentoring and developing others, along with experience leading small teams through software implementation processes.
  • Proficient in collaborating with clients to define business workflows and gather functional and technical system specifications.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, a love for technology and continuous learning, and a knack for asking insightful questions to solve pertinent issues.
  • A proven track record of success within cross-functional teams; experience in product development using agile methodologies such as pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints.
  • Fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming, experience with relational databases and database design/data modeling, and SQL proficiency (including writing queries, joins, views, etc.).
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies (test-driven development, automated testing within a continuous integration framework); experience with API integrations such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services; knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers is preferred.

Basic Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for candidates applying for Public Sector roles.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development or technical consulting.
  • A B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support client engagements.
