Job Title: Team Leader

At Tractor Supply Company, we're committed to delivering a legendary customer experience. As a Team Leader, you'll play a critical role in achieving this goal by assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives
  • Deliver a legendary customer experience through GURA: Greet, Uncover, Recommend, Ask, and Appreciate
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory management
  • Transport and make deposits to the bank
  • Assess store conditions and assign duties to team members
  • Organize and prioritize workflow through the use of the daily planner
  • Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure a legendary shopping experience
  • Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed
  • Communicate with team members on job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals
  • Operate cash registers and supervise cash handling procedures
  • Assist team members in applying policies and procedures
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of birds and maintain poultry holding tanks
  • Operate forklifts and balers
  • Complete all documentation associated with job duties
  • Obtain licenses or certifications as needed
Requirements:
  • Experience in retail or a related field, preferably with supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read, write, and count accurately
  • Basic computer skills and ability to process information through the point-of-sale system
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Working Conditions:
  • Working environment is favorable, with moderate noise levels
  • Work shifts vary, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift
