Reporting to the Manager of School-Based Services, the Supervisor of School-Based Services is responsible for providing both clinical and administrative oversight to a team of counselors operating within educational settings. This role includes supporting the Manager in program development and community engagement initiatives. The Supervisor will cultivate relationships with school administrators and educators, addressing their needs and concerns effectively. Additionally, the Supervisor will ensure a commitment to high-quality treatment within the school environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the school-based behavioral health provider team across designated educational institutions.
- Monitor student billing and resource utilization as assigned by the Manager.
- Evaluate team members' performance, providing ongoing coaching and development to meet objectives through the annual review process.
- Lead by example, fostering open communication, education, and training among team members.
- Facilitate team meetings and initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Plan and manage clinical care operations and programs within schools, including treatment plan development and documentation.
- Provide leadership and support to the school-based behavioral health staff through effective decision-making and supervision.
- Assist in addressing client concerns related to school-based services.
- Offer expertise to team members in crisis intervention scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and certification standards for school-based behavioral health staff.
- Provide ongoing clinical training opportunities for team development.
- Monitor adherence to legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards, ensuring proper clinical documentation.
- Track performance indicators to identify trends, recognize achievements, and address potential challenges.
- Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives for school-based services.
- Represent Signature Health within educational institutions and the community.
- Maintain an appropriate caseload as needed to meet the demands of the school contracts.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree required.
- Valid unencumbered license in the state of Ohio required; Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field required.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with school-based clients is a plus.
- Extensive background in treating children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong clinical skills in treatment planning, progress note documentation, and psychosocial assessments.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Work is typically conducted in an office or clinical setting.
- While standard hours are expected, flexibility for evenings and extended hours may be necessary.
- Job involves periods of sitting, standing, and computer work.
- Hearing and speaking abilities adequate for client interactions in person and via telehealth.
- Visual acuity sufficient for reading printed materials and computer screens.
- Physical demands include occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds.
- Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens during job duties.
- Regular physical activity including bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
- Dexterity required for operating a PC and other office equipment.
