Job Overview

Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Associate to join our team in Fairbanks. As a key member of our Partial Hospitalization Program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional behavioral healthcare services to children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct group skill development sessions to help clients build social skills, manage emotions, and develop problem-solving strategies.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to assess client needs and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide support and assistance to clients during community outings and activities.
  • Document client progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions.
  • Support clients in crisis situations and assist with de-escalation techniques as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the program.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and client-centered care.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly pay range of $21.00 to $29.47, depending on experience.
  • Eligibility for up to $6,000 in incentive, with an average of $2,300.
  • Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Assistance available.
  • Generous benefits, including two healthcare options, 401k with immediate vesting, and 5 weeks of PTO in the first year, increasing to 8 weeks after the first year.
