Position Overview:

The Sales Relief Specialist is responsible for optimizing sales opportunities and enhancing the distribution of all products offered by Markstein Sales Company while ensuring exceptional customer service and product excellence.

This role involves creating and setting up eye-catching displays for merchandise at retail locations to engage potential customers effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide coverage for designated sales territories during periods of absence due to vacations, illness, or increased demand.
  • Navigate through assigned areas to engage with both regular and prospective clients, aiming to secure orders and facilitate discussions on the sales floor.
  • Promote and sell beer to both off-premise and on-premise retail accounts as required.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels at retail locations to prevent stock shortages or excess.
  • Make informed daily decisions regarding inventory management based on historical sales data and reports.
  • Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and quality control of all Markstein Sales products.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Highly driven and results-focused, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in sales and negotiation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in sales or merchandising (preferred).
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Additional Information:

This is an exempt position with an annual salary structure. The role requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs and pass a drug screening (including cannabis) and background check.
