Teen Services Librarian

About the Role

Loudoun County Public Library is seeking a collaborative and energetic Teen Services Librarian to join our team at the Ashburn Library in Ashburn, VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service in reference, reader's advisory, programming, and circulation functions.
  • Assist customers in the use of library resources and technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to complete daily tasks, conduct programs, and coordinate outreach.
  • Plan and lead engaging programs for Teens.
  • Conduct outreach and establish partnerships with community organizations.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school.
  • At least six (6) months of related library experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of prior experience providing direct customer service to the public.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills.
