Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Rivers Edge Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely test results to healthcare providers, enabling them to make informed decisions about patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other tests, to provide accurate and timely test results.

• Participate in our Laboratory's Quality Assurance Plan to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in test results.

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by practicing Rivers Edge Hospital's Standards of Behavior and providing excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient test processing.

• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely test results and to address any concerns or questions they may have.

• Participate in proficiency testing and quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, patient information, and other relevant data.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques, technologies, and best practices to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in test results.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited institution.

• ASCP certification or equivalent required; new graduates must be eligible for certification and obtain MLT certification within one year of employment.

• Ability to travel to other work sites as needed with own transportation.

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or will be certified within six months of hire through the American Heart Association.
