Position Summary
Van Acker Construction is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to oversee the construction of two residential buildings on an expansive estate project. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Superintendent to manage daily construction activities, ensuring the project adheres to timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all construction activities for two residential structures.
- Oversee subcontractors, engineers, and consultants to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules, focusing on the sequencing of work tasks.
- Ensure architectural and engineering components are effectively integrated.
- Enforce quality control measures to uphold superior craftsmanship.
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues to meet project expectations.
- Assist with progress assessments, budget updates, material analysis, and inspections.
- Maintain effective communication with site personnel and support administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in high-end residential construction, including a minimum of 8 years in field supervision.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Demonstrated professionalism in interactions with architects, subcontractors, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail, deadlines, and a commitment to excellence.
- Solid understanding of mathematics, job cost tracking, and budgeting.
- Ability to anticipate project needs and organize activities accordingly.
- Exhibit leadership qualities that inspire and motivate team members.
- Physical capability to meet job demands, including lifting and operating machinery.
- Must reside locally and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits include group medical, vision, and dental coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401k plan with company contributions.
